About Joan Beiriger

Joan worked as an analytical chemist for a National Laboratory until 2002 when she quit to devote full time to creating her art. She takes pride in creating art for products and partnering with manufacturers to produce trend forward products. Joan particularly loves to paint flowers, butterflies and small animals which is reflected in many of her designs. Her computer expertise has helped her manipulate her art and create collections and product mock-up examples in Adobe Photoshop® as layered files. Joan's art can be found on greeting cards, decorative flags, wrap around canvas and other home décor products.

Joan is a self-taught artist who has dabbled in arts and crafts all her life. She spent over 20 years creating cross-stitch and blackwork designs for publications and kit manufacturers while working as a chemist. In the late 1990s, Joan started painting and has since produced a robust body of work. She gets inspiration for her art from many sources. Click here to read more.

Joan lives in a northern California valley with her husband. She is passionate about licensing her art and is constantly searching for information about the industry. In 2009, she started a blog devoted to informative articles about art licensing and related subjects in order to help other artists license their own work.
